The Swan 82 KALLIMA is an updated model of the Maxi-cruiser concept. The vessel is a modern sailing yacht which has been built for speed, yet retains the company’s high standards and style: elegant lines, luxurious interiors, ease of handling and reliability. Her streamlined hull and practical deck layout mask a comfortable interior and a wealth of technology, which combine to offer outstanding long range cruising performance.
KALLIMA’s racing capability is also manifest in her design. Her centered mid cockpit and carbon fibre mast are but two aspects of a model which has consistently proven itself on the European racing stage, most famously when claiming overall 1st place in the inaugural season of the Swan Maxi Class, with an outstanding victory at the 2008 Swan Cup in Porto Cervo.
She finished 3rd in the IRC Maxi Class at the Rolex Maxi Yacht Cup in Porto Cervo in September 2016. She still shows great potential for keen racers, or sailors in search of performance and comfort!
This winter KALLIMA was refitted with various technical upgrades (full service rigging, new engine, new air conditioning).
Sail and Work Experience
Manuel is a seasoned captain with over a decade of maritime experience, including multiple transatlantic crossings and extensive project management in refits. Since 2021, he has captained the CNB66 SKIP’N BOU II, overseeing its delivery from the shipyard and managing both owner and charter operations in the Mediterranean. Prior to that, he captained several CNB66 yachts, including MAMYWATA and MIDNIGHT, where he led significant refit work. From 2014 to 2019, he served as Second Captain aboard the SWS80 SKIP’N BOU, sailing seasons between the Mediterranean and the West Indies and completing six Atlantic crossings. He also brings technical proficiency from his background as a wood carpenter, which supports his hands-on approach to yacht maintenance and repair.
Job Description
As Captain of KALLIMA, Manuel is responsible for the safe navigation, operation, and overall management of the yacht. He ensures all aspects of the vessel’s performance, including safety, crew leadership, and guest experience, are delivered at the highest standard. He oversees compliance with maritime regulations, maintenance schedules, and coordinates refits and logistics, ensuring KALLIMA is maintained in peak condition for both private and charter use. His leadership is marked by discipline, technical skill, and a deep passion for sailing.

Sail and Work Experience
Leonardo has over 7 years of experience on both sailing and motor yachts in the Mediterranean, working in private and charter operations. As First Mate, he has developed strong skills in navigation, watchkeeping, deck operations, maintenance and shipyard projects. His experience includes long Mediterranean passages, sailing events such as the Swan Cup in Porto Cervo, as well as hands-on technical and engineering assistance onboard. Reliable and proactive, he is known for his strong teamwork and adaptable attitude.
Job Description
As First Mate, Leonardo is responsible for supporting the captain in the daily operation of the yacht, including navigation, watchkeeping, mooring operations, maintenance and safety procedures. He also assists with engineering tasks, tender driving, guest operations and general upkeep of the vessel, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations onboard.

Sail and Work Experience
Bertille has been actively working in the yachting industry since 2021, transitioning from a long career as an optician. She has served as chef, hostess, and deckhand across various charters and vessels, including CNB 76 and HANSE 588 in the Mediterranean, as well as on board a Lagoon 560 and a Lagoon 460 in the Caribbean. Over the years she has gained valuable experience in meal preparation and service as well as boat maintenance. She notably participated in the Juris’cup regatta aboard a Swan 65, serving 11 crew members. Bertille demonstrates adaptability and enthusiasm, making her a valued member of any crew.
Job Description
Bertille is responsible for all culinary and interior operations on board. She creates diverse, fresh, and seasonal menus tailored to guest preferences and dietary requirements, manages provisioning, and ensures the galley is run efficiently and hygienically. In addition to her culinary role, she maintains the cleanliness and presentation of the interior, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction. Her cuisine reflects her creativity, professionalism, and love for quality ingredients, while her attention to detail and warm hospitality enhance the overall guest experience.
